So that we can continue our work, the Child-Friendly Faith Project must rely on financial contributions from the public. All donations are tax-deductible. Fulfilling our missions involves raising awareness of issues relating to religious and cultural child maltreatment by developing educational programs for faith communities and professionals. They include:
1) Conferences — Our conferences feature speakers who are nationally and internationally renowned experts in fields related to child welfare, faith, and the law. Our conference attendees have included representatives of faith organizations and professionals, such as social workers, clergy, attorneys, youth program directions, therapists and others.
2) Designation Program — A unique program just for faith communities that teaches religious organizations about child development, maltreatment, and protection. Participants who complete the program are designated as Charter Members of the CFFP or as Child-Friendly Faith Communities and receive valuable marketing support.
3) Professionals Webinar Series — This program will offer focused content and continuing education hours for those who work in fields related to child protection. Audiences would include social workers, law enforcement personnel, attorneys, pediatricians, and mental health care workers.
4) Public Speaking — Engaging the public in a conversation about religious and cultural child maltreatment is critical to raising awareness of these issues. Representatives of the CFFP do not charge a speaking fee for these presentations.
We invite you to be part of our Child-Friendly Faith movement by contributing what you can. All donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for your generosity!
